WGC Dell Match Play – Day 3

Today is the final day of the group stages where see the field reduced from 64 players to 16 with the top player from each group going through to 16 man knock-out format.

So far so good with 4/5 tips right so far and I will continue to lay for the rest of the tournament.

Spieth Hoping For 3/3 Wins Today

There are 32 matches again today but I only going to look at the 13 matches of players who have won twice and try to pick out the weakest opposition and lay them.

Z Johnson v Lowry

  • *Lay Lowry at 3.60 (5/2)

Koepka v Willet

  • *Lay Willet at 2.90 (15/8)

Day v Casey

  • *Lay Casey at 3.60 (5/2)

Cabrera Bello v Kjeldsen

  • *Lay Kjeldsen at 3.15 (9/4)

Spieth v Thomas

  • *Lay Thomas at 4.50 (7/2)

~~~~~
* Lay means not to win and is ideal for match play as you also win if the match is halved. You can only lay on a betting exchange such as Betfair
WGC Dell Match Play – Day 1
misc10.jpg
I wish that there were more match play tournament as I personally find it more exciting to watch than stroke play.
Now I think that Day and Casey will win their matches as they are playing well at the moment and the double pays just under 7/4. But if I get 1 match wrong it’s more or less a 1 point loss whether I do the double or do the 2 lays. But if I lay their opponents instead I have the added benefit of winning if the matches are ties too.
Day v Mcdowell (3.20pm GMT)
Jason Day won this back in 2014 and won last weeks Arnold Palmer Invitational. Graeme Mcdowell came joint last in this last year and has missed the cut in his last 2 tournaments.
Casey v Jaidee (3.30 GMT)
Paul Casey has finished runner-up in this tournament twice and has had 2 top 10 finishes in his last 2 tournaments.
